Creating sustainable spaces
We go beyond your average fitout to ensure optimal sustainable standards in all our facilities.
We take into account the life cycle of materials we use and always aim to minimise any negative environmental impact by:
- Sourcing materials from sustainable sources, like timber products that have been harvested responsibly from well-managed forests that are continuously replenished
- Using recycled materials for carpets and flooring
- Purchasing furniture from companies with sustainability goals that have good track record for recycling
- Donating old furniture to local charity groups
- Using concentrated cleaning products which cut down the use of plastic and the impact of transportation
We ensure that the spaces that we create are energy efficient, producing cost and carbon savings by:
- Installing LED lighting instead of fluorescent
- Using lighting control systems such as sensors to turn off the lights when there no activity during in a certain area.
- Locating buildings with renewable energy and high energy efficiency ratings when clients require new premises from a landlord
- Looking for spaces with large windows for natural light and ventilation to avoid the need for additional lighting and an HVAC system
- Using systems that can alert you if the HVAC is on with a window open to ensure energy is not wasted
- Using taps such as Zip taps that dispense boiling, chilled and sparkling in one to avoid the need for kettles and other water machines
We get the best people on the job by ensuring that:
- Our contractors are vetted and are from ISO 14001 registered companies
- Contractors are local to the country and location we are in, as we carry out fit outs in various countries in Europe
- Contractors with fleet operations are also FORS registered
We make sure our facilities are compliant with relevant regulations by:
- Ensuring buildings with HVAC are compliant with F-gas regulations and amend this if they are not
- Making sure there are proper segregated waste streams that are complaint with that country’s waste regulations in every office
Most importantly, we make sure our facilities are great places to work:
- We use Airthings air quality sensors to ensure office spaces are filled with clean air, to ensure the wellbeing of those inside
- Our spaces are designed to be beautiful, comfortable, and safe
